Why we built this
There is no shortage of Islamic apps. There is a shortage of ones you can check.
The problem we kept running into
Between five apps you could get the Qur'an in one, hadith in another, prayer times in a third, and a qibla compass in a fourth — each with its own account, its own ads, and its own idea of what a translation should say. Ask any of them an actual question and you got a search box.
And when a new generation of apps did start answering questions, they answered them the way a chatbot does: fluently, confidently, and without telling you where any of it came from. For most subjects that is merely unhelpful. For the deen it is dangerous.
What we made instead
Al Muminun puts the Qur'an, twenty-two hadith collections, sixteen tafsir editions, prayer times, qibla, salah tracking, tasbih and duas in one place — and then adds Ask Noor, which answers questions from those same sources and shows you which ones it used.
The citation is not a footnote. It is the whole design. An answer you cannot trace is an answer you have to take on trust, and no app has earned that.

Four things we will not trade away
The source, or nothing
Every translation, tafsir and hadith in the app comes from an established published edition, reproduced as it stands. Where Noor answers, it names what it used. Nothing is paraphrased into anonymity.
Free, and not for sale
No subscription, no feature held back, no reading history sold to anyone. Ads keep it running, and they are the general-audience kind only — the app never requests anything above that rating.
A tool, not an authority
The app helps you read, find and remember. It does not issue rulings. When something needs a scholar, we say so rather than letting a confident-sounding answer stand in for one.
Not only in English
Seven languages across the whole interface, not just the translations. Most of the Muslim world does not think in English, and an app that assumes otherwise is only half built.
Found a mistake?
A wrong translation, a mis-numbered hadith, a prayer time that does not match your masjid — tell us. Corrections to the content are the messages we answer first.
